We think we have found the best fruit on the planet, the fugu persimmon. It has actually been called the "fruit of the Gods" and if you haven't tried it, you must look for it in the stores. This is the time of year when it is sold. I cut out the leaves and cut the fruit into pieces . . . . no need to peel because the skin is thin. The fruit is sweet and wonderful. This was Kathy's lunch yesterday: persimmon, wheat cracker, cheese, and Greek olives. YUM!
